Collection contains correspondence pertaining to suffrage activities from nine women to Agnes Morgenthau, circa 1914: Mary Austin, Belle da Costa Greene, Beatrice Forbes- Robertson Hale, Marie Jenney Howe, Gertrude Kingston, Fola LaFollette, Alice Duer Miller, Marie Tempest, and Vira Boarman Whitehouse. There is also a photograph and suffrage poems by Alice Duer Miller. Biographical Note

Agnes Morgenthau was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1892. She graduated from Smith College in 1914 and attended Columbia University, 1914-15. In 1918, she married Sidney Newborg. They had three children. Agnes had several long-time interests, among them The Woman's City Club, of which she was a charter member, and the Goddard-Riverside Community Center, an interracial camp and settlement house. She died on April 28, 1972.

This small collection contains correspondence pertaining to suffrage activities from nine women to Agnes Morgenthau, circa 1914: Mary Austin, Belle da Costa Greene, Beatrice Forbes-Robertson Hale, Marie Jenney Howe, Gertrude Kingston, Fola LaFollette, Alice Duer Miller, Marie Tempest, and Vira Boarman Whitehouse. There is also a photograph and suffrage poems by Alice Duer Miller.
