	<p>Records of ca. 200 various Amherst College committees, including draft, interim and final reports, supporting documents and correspondence.  Some committees are formal standing committees, but the majority are ad-hoc temporary bodies often convened as presidential advisory committees or task forces.  In many cases, files contain only final reports (sometimes both interim and final reports), rather than supporting documents related to the committee's work in producing those reports.  (This more detailed supporting documentation can sometimes be found elsewhere in the Archives; see "Related Material" or consult an archivist.)</p>
